XIUI 1.8.0
A huge release: a brand-new Ready Check module, a Global UI Scale slider, smoother performance, and dozens of polish fixes pulled from community feedback.
General
- Global UI Scale slider (0.5x – 5.0x) — one slider to resize the entire UI at once. Works on top of every per-module scale so your existing setup stays intact.
- Text rendering overhaul — every UI element now uses a unified text system with cleaner outlines and consistent styling.
- Window backgrounds rebuilt — borders and backgrounds layer correctly with the rest of the UI; no more z-order surprises.
- Crash-safe profiles — game crashes no longer wipe your active profile back to defaults. A backup is kept automatically.
- Smarter window positioning — windows reliably remember where you put them, and a “Recover UI Positions” button puts everything back if something drifts off-screen.
- Config window auto-fits your resolution — opens at a sensible size, shrinks on small screens, and snaps back on-screen if its saved position would be off-display.
- Hotbar performance overhaul — running XIUI alongside Metrics no longer tanks FPS.
- Stack count display option for inventory items.
- Crossbar support for
/xiui palette— palette cycling, reset, and first/next/prev now include the crossbar. Newcrossbar/cb/xbsuffix targets just the crossbar. - Coldblood Como added to jug pet data.
Modules
- Ready Check (new module) — readycheck integrated into XIUI. Reuses job icons, has sound options for both the prompt and replies, and stays out of the way when disabled.
- Pet Bar — HP, MP, TP, and recast X scales are now independent (changing HP no longer resizes the others). Pet target gets its own Background and Border Scale sliders.
- Pet Bar — Charm pets now show a level indicator.
- Hotbar / Crossbar — dragging an ability without an icon now shows a mini slot at your cursor so it’s clear what you’ve picked up.
- EXP Bar — new Mastery Mode toggle under Display Options forces Exemplar Points (EXEMP) at level 99. Label corrected from EXP to EXEMP, and ML0 is hidden when Master Level isn’t unlocked.
- Cast Cost — mana cost now shows on the spell recast source.
Bug Fixes
- Dancer Sambas no longer show up as Weaponskills in the macro maker. Same fix cleans up Flourishes III, Blood Pact: Ward, Rune Effusions / Wards, Stratagems, and other miscategorized abilities. Subcategory headers (Sambas, Waltzes, Steps, Jigs, Flourishes I/II/III) are no longer selectable.
- Gil Tracker no longer disappears when you have 0 gil.
- Multiple crashes when changing settings, resetting settings, or switching fonts on Ashita v4.16.
- Crash when confirming a settings reset on Ashita 4.3.
- Font Outline slider value now matches the actual pixel width.
- Font outline width is capped at 2 to prevent ghosting.
- Removed the non-functional Tooltip Scale slider.
- Removed the misleading Slot Y Padding slider from the hotbar config (each bar is independently positioned now, so it didn’t do what users expected).
- Global UI Scale now properly resizes config window padding and spacing.
- Inventory and Pet Bar sliders no longer cause lag while dragging.
- Window borders no longer get squished at small window sizes or non-default border scales.
- Progress bar borders look right at every thickness setting, including 0.
- Notification icons no longer get hidden behind their own background.
- Notifications now respect Lock HUD Position even when the config menu is open.
- The global “Show Bookends” toggle now actually works on pet bars.
- Pet Bar TP X slider actually does something now.
- Anchored cast bar now follows the spell name when you change the name X offset.
- Compact party layout now respects the Show TP toggle.
- Party List
min rowsslider works now. - Enemy list background opacity slider transitions smoothly to fully opaque (no more sudden jump at 1.0).
- Enemy list border defaults to visible (opaque black) instead of invisible.
- Jug pet duration no longer resets when zoning between zones that allow pets.
- Stacked notification icons render correctly.
- Z-ordering issues across UI elements.
- Crash on first load with a brand-new profile.
- “Recover UI Positions” now correctly handles EnemyList, CastCost, and the inventory trackers.
- Windows no longer disappear at certain screen resolutions.
- Font family dropdown options now actually load the right fonts (Lucida Console, Microsoft Sans Serif, Times New Roman, Trebuchet MS).
- Updated progress bar default values.
- Bar text positioning adjustments.
- Grouped “expand height” and “min rows” together in party list config, plus misc polish.
